It doesn't actually seem to be an ATX PS. I wish it were. All the
connectors are the same, as are the voltages on them, but the amperages
are completely different.
Output Voltage U/10 ATX
1 +3.3 21A 15A
2 +5.0 22A 20A
3 +12.0 5.0A 8.0A
4 -12.0 0.3A 0.5A
5 -12.0 0.3A 0.5A
6 (Standby) +5.0 0.2A 0.8A
Admittedly, they're not all that far off, and most are lower (does that
mean I'd use less power? Would the machine run slower?), but that 0.8
for the standby worries me a bit. Plus there's one connector missing on
my ATX supply that's on the U/10 that plugs into the motherboard. I've
seen the place for it on peecee mobos, but the ATX P/S in front of me
doesn't have one. Is it important?
If someone tells me this'll work, I'll put it in right now and be happy.
Otherwise, I'v3 got someone looking at repairing the one that sparks.
I've a feeling it's just a bad solder joint. It might have bounced
around in the trunk of my car on the way home, and I've seen stranger
things than a solder come loose and short.
Thanks,
