If you like to eat, you can cook without a book. Obviously from my somewhat
overgenerous bulk I like to eat ;-)

There is really no secret to cooking other than patience, the willingess to
experiment and the ability to say "ahh well fucj it" when you screw up,
because everyone does no matter how good they think they are ;-)

I cook what I like to eat. I try out new ideas, sometimes they work out
really well. That recipe for Gaucho steak is my own for exmple. It's simple,
it takes no time at all (other than the marinating bit) and if you do a
little work on presnetation you can look like a professional.

Sometimes they don't work out so well. I have cooked things that from their
individual ingredients I thought I would love, but were in actuallity
mediocre to nauseating depending on how badly I screwed it up. But I also
learned what works and what doesnt in the process.

Gee, sounds like figuring out how to be a <insert skilled profession here>
doesn't it.
