[SunRescue] SS 1000 - Sol7 vs. Sol8 ?

I have mostly been using Linux and OpenBSD up to now.

I am getting my hands on a 8 x SM51, 1GB RAM, Sparc 1000.

Would love to hear pros and cons of Solaris 7 vs Solaris 8.

This machine will be on the Net, so security is of some concern.

Your opinions/thoughts welcome.  One person whose opinion I respect very
much suggested 7.
