  Yeah, I'm a 'winner' :) . The way I figure it, a little over 200$ all
said and done for the biggest drive case on my block isn't so bad all
things being considered. Mike N emailed me helping me out with some info
on it,and like him, I even thought about using the 670 and this box as
endtables, uber-geek furniture if you will...
As a side note, I had a 670 shipped from San Diego to St Louis for
around 170, and I paid less than a hundred for the box, so it can still
work out to be a decent deal. (IMHO) I know there is a 670 listed on ebay
right now, so, depending on your budget...
All in all, I love my 670. Visitors are always impressed, and you can't
beat yanking the ole VME cards around from time to time. Currently it's
configured as a 514 (SM 512 x 2 ) 576MB of RAM (thanks Mike N ) with the
second revision main board, 155MB ATM (Still trying to get LANE working
properly on my GRF ) with some appropriately loud and heavy full height
9GB drives. I use it as a boot server for some classics, and for streaming
mp3s throughout the house, not to mention it's amazing ability to heat
several rooms...

I am curious who else is running these beasts, and how they have them
configured, their use, etc etc. Is anyone running the 'newer' ross procs
(no, not those damned sm100's ;) )? I've been pondering selling off some
hardware and going for a full out 670 upgrade. If you want to reply to me
off list, to keep the clutter down, that's cool. I'll probably put a page
on my site with the stats of the machines I hear about, and it never hurts
to 'network' a bit with other big(gish) iron lovers..

Maybe I should start a 670/690/2000 fan club. I just need some "my other
computer is a 670" stickers for my sparcbook.
