FW: mp3 on IPX (was [SunRescue] BSD Questions)

After reading supported hardware lists, I've found BSD does not support the
16 bit sound on the LX but RedHat might. I haven't had time to test it yet.
I've tried playing MP3s using Solaris 2.5.1, 2.6 and 7 but they play choppy.
I tried removing all the inetd services & CDE to no avail.
