Ah, the times before 2.2.x, when SPARC support sucked hard. I don't think I
had anything running a 2.0.x kernel MP that worked properly. I'm running RH
6.2 (upgraded from 6.1, upgraded from 6.0, upgraded from 5.2), and it works
just dandy. xemacs and perl are the only real work that I do on there, but
that's enough for now. It's very stable, but I'll probably be putting
Solaris back on there for a bit, at least until Anton finished adding DMA
support to the esp SCSI driver. My machine is an SS20, 128MB, dual 4GB
disks, dual SM41s, CG6FB. It's not fast, but I've let it churn on big
compiles and RPM rebuilds for upwards of 10 hours, never saw anything
flakey. Oh, except that the DBRI module sometimes will load, other times
not. Sound doesn't concern me much. Later,
	Greg
