Bill,

I used to work for Lowes Home Improvement, if you haven't heard of it,
it is Home Depots biggest competitor. I worked in the Paint Department
and sold various floor paints/stain. I have two areas that you need to
be concerned with.

1. Prepare the surface correctly. It will need to be clean, but also
most paints will ask you to acid etch the surface with Muratic Acid.
Proper preparation will allow the stuff to stick/soak in/not come up.

2. Use something that can be used indoors, I don't want you to kill
yourself. Even if you leave the house, something meant for outdoors
might continue to give off fumes for quite some time.

How did you get cement in your living room? Is your house on a slab, or
is this in a basement?
