i dont know if this is a proper segueway, but here in austin we have a
goodwill computerworks (it only sells computers). recently they opened an
"as-is" room, which is basically a room full of non-pc stuff (their techs
arent trained to test *nix equipment). 

while i was there yesterday, i noticed they had a few drive holders, a
sparc classic x, three old graphics towers (pretty design) and lots of
monitors and even two slc's. plus, they had ten or so floptical mice pads,
some still in their original wrappings (and their accompanying mice). if
anyone would like us to pick this up for you and send it, we'd be happy
to.
