The only "official" certifications I know of are stuff like the
RHCE Red Hat certification or the Solaris stuff.  I studied for
the Solaris admin tests (and a few others; i'm almost to Enterprise
level) by reading some good sysadmin books (the Prentice-Hall one
and the ORA one), and reading the Janice Windsor books...

Of course, I passed the certification tests back in '96.. it may
have changed since then.
