Hi!
>What about the 3/75 when it came out, with 8MB of RAM and SCSI?
Don't know, i got mine for DM 100...
It was 10 years old then but the ol' monochrome monitor is
still in excellent condition; bright and sharp.
>>sucks a lot on the VME machines.
>Such as...
ie, si, xy, xd: all in various beta stages and not suitable for
a production machine
sc: there is a pre alpha driver floating around (written by
Der Mouse if i remember correctly)
alm-1, alm-2, mcp, rf: nothing available
So all that works is the bare CPU (minus the intel ethernet
chip onboard) and perhaps the si controller... not enough IMHO.
The problem is the broad variety of boards and there relative
rareness. The VME servers are itself quite rare too. Comapred
this to the NetBSD support for the widely available 3/60...
