[SunRescue] IPX questions, suggestions

Hi!

The IPX is a nice older machine, the best suggestion would be to get an AUI
to 10baseT transceiver, they are not very expensive and either a small hub,
you should be able to find both used for under $40.00, or a cross connected
Ethernet cable to connect the two machines together. The Sun CD-ROM should
work just fine with the IPX, I myself have loaded many a machine including
my IPX several times with a Sun 2X CD. Of course you will need to find an
external box cable and terminator for the CD-ROM.

As for an OS, RedHat is dog slow on the IPX, I have found OpenBSD to be much
snappier on that box. Of course when it comes to OS's and personal
preference YMMV.

Good luck and enjoy the nice little Sun boxen you have!
