[SunRescue] SBUS cards...

Don't know if this helps or not, but I didn't find anything in the
original sun-ref:

I have (2) fiber cards... one is definitely a FDDI adapter, the other
appears to be a fiber-channel host adapter. The FDDI adapter is a
third-party piece, sporting the model number SDM31???XF (the ?'s are two
or three chars that are covered by a bar-coded sticker). It looks like
the manufacturer might be Network Peripherals. The coolest thing about
this card is the names of the NatSemi chips (BS12, BMAC, PLAYER+) - it
looks like some sort of fancy-ass Sound Blaster ;)

The other card is Sun manufacture. The base card is number 501-2553, and
has two connectors, one of which is used by a 370-1426. This card is
really cool looking - over the "main" IC is a translucent purple square
(about 1 1/4") sporting the Sun logo. I wish they put cool things like
this outside the box... My thinking about this being a host adapter is
founded in the fact that the 370-1426 says "RN DIGITAL," peeking out from
behind the Sun part number sticker. This card is also cool because it has
a big yellow sticker that says "CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT" ;)

If there's anything more I can tell you about these cards, I'll be glad to
plug them in and provide dmesg output. As I'm obviously missing something
from each card to make it work (no drives for the Sun card, no second FDDI
adapter for the NP card), they aren't currently in use (though I wouldn't
mind putting up a FDDI ring inside the house, at some point - damned cards
are just too expensive, not to mention cables and concentrator). The
fiber channel card is on loan to me, pending a good trade item (for some
reason, I thought it was a FDDI card). I would be interested in finding a
mate for the FDDI card, if anybody has one.

On another note, my HP-UX y2k kit arrived today, and I'm in the process
(almost done, now) of cold-installing on my 710.
