Check the PDP11 Unix Preservation Society pages (PUPS) on 
minnie.cs.adfa.edu.au and look around for Supnick's emululators,
Apout, and some of the other goodies.  That should get you started.
They should generally be in the pub/PDP-11 tree.

(I used to run V5 on the Ersatz11 emulator on a PS/2 Model 60 286 box
for the fun of it.....(:+}}...).
