I would suggest having two lists - one concentrating on rescuing and
maintaining 'obsolete' hardware, and one concentrating on acquiring, setting
up and administering software (including OSes) on obsolete hardware.

I don't think either list should exclude any particular species of machine
*except* PC compatibles.  Perhaps very early clones - which often used
customised versions of DOS, and weirdo hardware - should be allowed.
