it would be much better to put Solaris 2.5.1 on an ss2 than 2.6/2.7.  2.5.1 
runs quite well on ss2', and is a stable, tested platform for that hardware.

Solaris 2.6/2.7 bog the system down much more than 2.5.1 does.
