You don't need newer LX PROMs.  As far as I know there is no new hardware
support added in either 2.10 or 2.14 and no bugs of consequence are fixed.

Upgrading your SS10 PROM would make sense if you wanted to support newer
CPU modules, but why do you think you need to upgrade the LX?
