Shipping cost alone would put me out of business!  (I'm in Toronto, ON;
metaphorically north of the 49'th)

(not to mention what Revenue Canada might do if they think they're worth
original price instead of the purchase price....)

Oh, and the more interesting items also say "Not available for export"
too.  :-(

I already buy used UPS units and then buy my replacement batteries from
a battery dealer down the street but even at his discounted prices
(which are about 1/4 to 1/8'th APC's replacement price!) they're still
the most expensive things I buy (besides disk drives, I guess).

The big old VAXs like the 11/780 are too finicky -- too much overly
sensitive electronics in them.  Quite impressive machines for their day
though -- the second Unix machine I ever used too (first was a PDP 11/60).
