Here in the UK, I have an IPX with 64Mb and a Fujitsu ~500Mb running
24/7 at an ISP with no problems whatsoever. I've heard of people having
bad experiences with lunchbox machines and hot disks (particularly
the bigger/faster SeaCrates) though, so YMMV. In fact, it's one of
the most reliable machines there, as they've been having power problems
and it keeps running even when line voltage drops below 200 volts...
If it's a proper machine room environment (with A/C) you should be OK.

At my old college, there was a full lab of IPX, IPC and SS5, and I
never saw any problems even when the A/C failed (about every three
months) and ~40 monitors raised the temperature over 45 Celsius. ;)
