m64config is specific to Mach64 (PGX) framebuffers.  ffbconfig configures
most framebuffer attributes.

Generally you don't have to force a default depth of 24.  I've never had
to, apps that want 24bpp get it and apps that don't ask get 8bpp and are
faster.
