It's worth noting, BTW, that this engine is a mildly modified version of
the '61-'63 Buick/Olds 215 V8.  A common swap to increase power of the 215
was to drop in a crankshaft from the iron 300 ('64-'65?) to yield 260
cubes (4.0L).  The 340 crank won't fit the 215. 

Not sure if the 3.5L Rover version was different enough to make this
infeasable or if the Rover crowd has their own solution.
