My old school's IPC's was on those stands yes.
around 15 IPC or so.

Someone didn't like putting the monitor
on the poor IPC (well the machine which
did LaserPrinter duties was under constant presure
from its monitor.)

Also someone probably didn't like having the monitor in a high position.
