I suspect the problem is actually with the "boot-file" setting. His paste
shows the prom is converting cdrom to the right device. However, it's then
trying to boot a file called 'bsd' (which would make sense for netbsd or
openbsd) which doesn't exist on Solaris.

Unset the boot-file setting, or set it to the appropriate file (and darn,
all I have is Sol8 here, can't tell you the right name to be sure...
/kernel/genunix ?)... probably best to unset it.
