My hauler of choice used to be a '66 Dodge 1-ton ex-military crew-cab full
time 4WD pickup.  Ugly, loud, but you could carry 6 people in the cabin
and the better part of a mainframe in the bed.  Second best would have to
be a '68 Coronet station wagon with all but the front seat removed. 

Stuck with sedans at the moment, but a pickup is the next acquisition
(after a bigger station wagon for my wife for our upcoming #3).  A cube
van with a hydraulic liftgate would be ideal but a bit harder to justify
to my better half.
