Rip it out and have a look ?

If they've got low-end graphics, then you may be out of luck with them
--- the manual page mentions RE, IR, IMPACT, CRM (O2), XL, and GR2
(Elan, Extreme, XS, XZ) as being capable of changing the bootup video
format.
