I know _lots_ of those 2-spinners (with Caddy) were Sony CDU-8012. Many
others used the same type/brand, like Apple, SGI?, HP and DEC (which
named their model RRD42 and switched proms).

I think the newer CDROMs (1" low-profile and others) were Toshiba
branded (XM-series).
