But, if it is running the MD controller, it wants to boot on the even
number 0, 2, 4, etc, which can sometimes be annoying if you try to mix
non MD devices with it, too. I think it has to do with the controllers
each allocated two targets.... SC0 has targets 0 and 1, SC1 has targets
0 and 1 (or drives 3 and 4). If you don't use the MD controllers, and
just hang scsi drives on the bus, it accepts device 0 as HD0, device 2
as HD 1, device 4 as HD2, etc, in the generic kernel. I am assuming
you can reconfigure the kernel to get around that quirk, but I have not
tried it, yet. Anyone know for sure? (...or, am I the only fool
still running MD controllers on dinosaur sun3's......(:+\\.....)
