The major differences:

IPC            IPX
25 Mhz CPU     40 Mhz CPU
25 Mhz Sbus    20 Mhz Sbus
48MB RAM Max   64 MB RAM Max (really 128, but only with special boards)
Mono FB        Color (GX) FB

Other than that, they're pretty much identical.
The IPX is superior, but they're both so cute :)
