Well yeah, but boot environment is a bit different, not like mainstream
laptops of a few years ago. It is a standard PC with standard bits, but I
wouldn't hold my breath waiting for touch-screen drivers.

You certainly can run VMs on it, under Hyper-V or Virtualbox...
