Other data point:  Uniquiti's pre-sales support response this morning
was informative and helpful.  Mikrotik's was neither.  Also, Ubiquiti
confirmed I can set up an EdgeRouter as a transparent Squid proxy.

I think I'm going with Ubiquiti.
