I have a mix of Samsung (830/840/840 Pro) and Crucial M500s installed in
the Macs in our family and all are performing admirably. If you don't mind
the extra $$$, I'd recommend the 840 Pro as my first choice, but you can't
go wrong with any of the other drives I listed (the 830 is no longer for
sale though, replaced by the 840 Pro).

FWIW, I believe Apple-supplied SSDs are a mix of Samsung, Toshiba and
SanDisk.

One thing to be aware of - OS X doesn't enable TRIM on non-Apple SSDs. TRIM
Enabler[1] works like a charm for that.
