It is possible for Linux to NAT without iptables?

It's a long story, perhaps. The short version is that I have a collection
of Linux with non-routable IPs, that I don't _want_ to have facing the
internet. But they need to talk for software packages. Also lein really
needs the internet for JIT compilation. Time for NAT.

But no! ipt_MASQUERADE not supported. Rats.

Now, the real answer is to use firewall that CAN do NAT. But that's not
ordered yet, and I'd like to get the apps up and running without waiting
for the firewall: this isn't the government, I've got customers to delight.

Linux. NAT. No IPTables. How does that work? Someone give the obvious
answer so I can smack myself and get back to work.
