I'm starting to see 32 Gig (4 x 8 Gig DIMMs) desktop kits for $159 after
rebate from Fry's or $179 w/o rebate from Newegg...

That's about $5/gig - just about as much as 1, 2, and 4 Gig DIMMs in my
observation.

Anyone know why this is happening? I plan to take advantage of it for an
econobox VM host, with an AMD 8120 8 core CPU ($149) and bundled MB from
Microcenter...

An 8 core, 32 Gig RAM box for about $350 plus case/ps & local storage...
