Whoops, sorry, all...didn't mean to top-post, or to post that, incomplete.

Anyway, another option (cheaper) are LCDs based on Samsung's
241MP...Sun had one, for instance.  About 2002, and they were PVA
LCDs, with excellent viewing angles.
