Yeah, well, OpenVZ here I come ...
I just bought a 32GB RAM, DL385 with 2x Opteron 280 , 6i controller and
2x300GB 15K drives (leaving 4 bays free for drives I already have).
It *was* going to run Solaris or OpenSolaris...
Looks like it will be a test implementation for ProxMox (a web interface
to OpenVZ) instead. Decent disk performance should be had once the
128MB battery backed write cache module shows up ... won't be as fast as
the latest and greatest but should still be quite passable.
What's the difference between Larry Ellison and God? God doesn't think
he is Larry Ellison ...
