In Microsoft-land, your printer is not the plastic box that turns paper
into paper jams.  That's a "print device".  No, the word "printer" is
used for what's called a "print queue" everywhere else.

Why not call the print queue a "print queue"?  Sorry, that term is
reserved for the collection of jobs pending to be printed, rather than the
software construct that manages that collection of jobs.  A printer with
no pending jobs doesn't have an empty queue; it doesn't have a queue at
all!

To further confuse matters, various Microsoft technical documentation
inconsistently referred to a "print device" as a "physical printer" and
the "printer" as a "logical printer".
