Exactly. The stated goals are to stop sending ANY money to MS, and to  
keep computers for ten years...

The person suggesting this thinks his PhD from Yale and his personal  
experience working with R and Debian *prove* Linux is superior,  
despite his lack of experience with a network greater than 10  
workstations...
