I stand by it.  Others have pointed out IBM, DEC, and Unipress OSS initiatives,
but those hardly count.  Those were HW and SW vendors who just happened to
take a stab at open source.

I'm still pretty sure Cygnus was the first firm to try to make Free software
the core of its business model.
