Ah, CHS. Just had a run-in with that two days ago at work, and not in a
good way. Cloned a hard drive from a 250GB to a 500GB drive with Acronis
Disk Director. No errors, however the clone blue screened on boot, and I
noticed on the second boot that the 500GB drive showed up as CHS (not
good). Not sure if that happened before the blue screen or was caused by
it, but if you ever see this happen to a large, modern drive, whatever you
do, don't run chkdsk, because it will wipe just about every file from the
disk because it's using CHS when it shouldn't. (Ended up just re-imaging
a starter disk image to the 500GB and moving the data files over from the
old hard drive manually.)
