When i configured a Linux one, it said estimated ship date in the second
week of October.

Good deal, I think I'll order XP one, i just got quotes from our sales
rep, it's a $40 difference between identically configured XP and ubuntu
options. Interestingly, the quotes list it as the inspiron 910, not the
inspiron mini 9.

Don't think it matters to me, i asked around and don't know anyone
ordering a laptop now, and probably only applies to the base model mini
9, not what i have in mind. It could easily be channel-related, as I
work for a Dell reseller and am getting my info that way.
