[geeks] changing a HWID

I am wondering: if you have a generic card-reader which shows the HWID/ 
location of the various different slots as being "Generic USB Mass  
Storage Device" or whatever, is there a way to change that to actually  
say what type of slot it is? For example, to say, "USB SecureDigital  
Card Reader" as it would show up in the USB devices list in Hardware  
Manager? Thanks.
