I'd argue that if that were true[0], I'm glad that 10% held such sway in the
colonies.
I'd also point out that being in the majority (or being popular) doesn't make
an idea correct. But we all knew that - since it is my opinion that most folks
here research and inform their decisions to the best of their ability and
interest in a topic. That we disagree points out the differences in our
research, nothing more.
I really like this group - I am constantly amazed at the breadth of knowledge
and variety of interests among the list members. It is also amazing that we
can discuss such topics and not fall into "Godwin's Law"[1] on a regular
basis.
BTW - I love that we footnote our emails!

[0] I don't question your assertion, I am accepting it as stated - I wouldn't
know how to research it and have no reason to question it.
