That hardly makes them operate ethically or competently.

If I listened to my doctors all the time, I'd be dead now.

It sucks, but the other systems suck worse.

I've never seen socialism build a nation and maintain it, and don't  
see how it ever could.

Most socialist systems depend on a free market somewhere to subsidize  
them.

Socialism is like democracy: it's OK with a little s, as a technical  
method in *SOME* circumstances, but sucks horribly as a total system.

Our taxes are already too high.

So far there has been no plan in any nations I've seen yet, where the  
taxes are not higher than the free market costs for the same services,  
especially since it forces me to get things I don't need.

People tend to vote themselves largess without thinking of the future  
very much.
