Also, even with an 8800GT on a Mac Pro, you can make Spaces get jumpy.

It just takes a lot more effort.

One sure way to hurt a Mac is to run GoogleEarth.

Google really has not done a good job with the Mac port.  It's a  
horrible hog for such low-level 3D usage.
