Far more likely that the designer would query an intermediate proxy 
server that handled the database connections on behalf of many such 
realtime clients, i.e. it is unlikely that you will only develop a 
single copy of a realtime system deployment on what is essentially 
custom hardware; you will instead plan for hundreds of such systems to 
be sold to various customers.
