It's a KVM switch built into a monitor which is waaay outside of 
warranty and never had upgradeable firmware to begin with.

What I need is a way to remotely convince Windows I just moved the 
mouse.  I can do it with VNC, but that's a pain in the ass.  If there's 
a way I can send a "mouse moved" command to the VNC server running on 
the machine by running a script on the other machine, that would 
probably be good enough for me.
