I think that depends on which way the bridge breaks once they get the
IP under their roof. If it breaks in favour of Ray Ozzie (which this
whole deal reeks of) I think there's a vastly reduced chance of it
being totally screwed up. If it breaks in favour of Steve Ballmer and
his marketing cronies then they're screwed.
As I'm paid up (for something, who knows what that'll end up being in
the long run) for 2 years, I'm willing to ride the storm and see where
the road goes. Those predicting doom and disaster are probably over
reacting, but so are those who are vehemently saying 'it won't affect
anything, everything is gonna be fine!!'.
I thin MS bought Yahoo in order to get a damn clue about what it is
they need to succeed on the Web. They haven't so far and that stand
out as a huge blot on a very blotted copy book, that getting more
blotted every year. It's kill or cure, IMHO.
