Bootable ZFS would rock.

My understanding is that at least on Sparc gear this would require a
prom update so it could see the kernel in the new FS. I think Grub has
proper updates to boot from ZFS, but my memory may be dusty.

XFS has been open source for a while as has Open Solaris. I'm
surprised someone hasn't ported XFS over yet and got Solaris booting
from that.
