They are not bad, because the chassis is 2U they use the larger fans
that are maybe 2" high.
There are 2 fans in the front bezel, then two fans behind the
installed drives, and another fan on the side that exhausts right
near the CPUs.
They DO NOT have the high pitched whining of e.g. the V20z or other
1U Opteron boxes with the tiny high speed fans.
Basically more like the rushing sound of a number of desktop systems,
or like the sound of a small box fan you might buy at WalMart.
