IIRC, Bill Clinton went from being Govener of Arkansas and making $36K/year to now being worth tens of millions of dollars...

Also, IIRC, one of the motivations for Hillary's fantastic investments (from $1K to $100K i nthe futures market) was that she and Bill didn't have any money (they lived in state housing ;^) and she had yet to become a partner at the Rose law firm...
