It would fit. The x4 slot is actually an x16 slot with a whole bunch of
pins missing.
Anyway, it's AMD, not Intel, but the Tyan Thunder n4250QE can take up to
eight quad-core Opterons and has up to 32 memory sockets. It also has
four PCI-express x16 slots.
